I Don't Understand, can someone explain?

i'm the brother of this multiply user "odball" and I just watched Season 3's "All Hell Breaks Lose" episode where Prue died.

I'm just so confused as to how Prue died, when the episode did not even reach that point? The ending of the episode only showed Prue and Piper being shot by energy balls by the demon Shax, and then killing the doctor. I really dont understand as to how Piper survived, how Leo was only able to save Piper, when Prue was at her side all along.

One more, I'm pretty sure Phoebe made a deal with the source so that Tempest will reset time for them. Isn't she supposed to have an episode where she's turned to the evil side? or at least justifying what had happened during that time.

Is it just my DVD or do I notice that justifications are skipped? Cause after prue's death, the next episode quickly showed her funeral without any explanation, am i right? hmm...

If anyone has an explanation, it would really be much appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. - I really love the episode.. made me cry. R.I.P. Prue, ur the best! ^^

Piper survived coz Leo "healed" her first for the reason she is is his wife when clearly on the very first scene where they both died, Leo healed "both" of the with his "hands" Although confusing, they dont know how to kill in detail Prue's character.

oh, so there's really no explanation to how Prue died? they just decided to kill her without any reason? isn't it a bit weird, because if leo reached the two, he would have been able to save both of them.. hmm..

i think the cast of charmed didn't have the chance to shoot the scenes needed to explain the death of Prue because of what happened to Shannen Doherty. But they just explained it verbally on the premier of Season 4, that Piper was still a bit alive when Leo tried to heal them both.
